Summer Internship Program:
Rialto Capital offers a 10-week Summer Internship Program designed to immerse Summer Interns in the daily activities of one of our real estate asset management divisions. Summer Interns will be assigned to a specific department based on the Summer Intern’s interests and skill set.
The program starts with a formal orientation and in-depth asset management training. Responsibilities will vary by department but will mirror the responsibilities of a full-time analyst with the company. Summer Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in educational workshops, speaker events, and networking opportunities. Each Summer Intern will be paired with a current Rialto Analyst or Associate mentor.
As the summer concludes, successful Summer Interns may be invited to join the Rialto team in the fall as an Analyst within a specific department or in our Rotational Analyst program for the upcoming year.
Basic Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate Junior, first year MBA student, graduate student, or 1L/2L in law school

- Ability to relocate to Miami, FL for the summer

Asset Management Departments:
CMBS Performing Loans: Evaluate various real estate transactions including leasing matters, property sales, property management changes, hotel franchise agreements, etc. An intern in this group will be responsible for performing both qualitative and quantitative analyses as documented in written memoranda and verbal presentations to the team’s approval committee.
CMBS Loan Workout: Recommend resolution strategies for all non-performing loans (monetary and non-monetary defaults) that transfer into special servicing. Resolution strategies include but are not limited to loan modification, loan extension, forbearance, foreclosure, reinstatement, etc. An intern in this group will perform both qualitative and quantitative analyses on the loan & underlying real estate collateral, in order to ultimately recommend the course of action that will yield the greatest recovery on a net present value basis.
Real Estate Asset Management: Oversee daily property operations, coordinate and negotiate leasing efforts, complete property improvements and ultimately liquidate assets owned by Rialto or its subsidiaries. An intern in this group will analyze real estate assets in order to determine optimal holding period strategy, terminal valuation and timing of asset disposition.
Collateral Surveillance: Monitor risk factors associated with Rialto’s CMBS bond investments. Lead annual RE-Underwriting initiative of CMBS loans. An intern in this group will help the team prepare pool summaries for senior executives, underwrite loans, conduct micro & macro level market research, identify and proactively mitigate potential market risk factors in the CMBS portfolio, and evaluate cash flow projections of CMBS loans against underwriting.
