SUMMARY
Rialto Capital offers a 10-week Summer Internship Program designed to immerse our Summer Interns in the daily activities of one of our real estate asset management or operations divisions. The Las Vegas Summer Intern will be assigned to the CMBS REO Asset Management Department.
The program starts with a formal orientation and in-depth asset management training. Responsibilities will vary but will mirror the responsibilities of a full-time analyst with the company. Summer Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in educational workshops. Each Summer Intern will be paired with a current Rialto Analyst or Associate mentor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Asset Managers and Analysts to learn how prepare cash flow models, valuation analysis, property proformas, as well as the preparation of Business Plans and/or Hold vs. Sell Analyses.
- Learn how to perform analysis of property operations including review of budgets, operating statements, rent rolls, traffic reports, capital improvements, and third party property reports.
- Prepare and coordinate research market comparables, sales, leasing transactions, and activity affecting local real estate markets utilizing internal and external resources including real estate brokers and industry experts and daily news articles.
- Learn the life of a CMBS loan.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Current undergraduate Junior or first semester Senior studying Real Estate, Finance, Economics or similar through and accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
- Passion for real estate
- Highly analytical and collaborative
- Strong work ethic and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Eagerness to learn
