The Investor Reporting and Fund Operations analyst is a full-time employment opportunity at Rialto’s corporate headquarters in Miami, FL. The analyst will mainly be responsible for the preparation and dissemination of monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting, as well as other regular reporting requests to investors and consultants. The Analyst will also be responsible for preparing/maintaining internal management reports and may be required to complete ad hoc requests to assist in fundraising, financing and other efforts.
A successful candidate will have a strong interest in finance, accounting, real estate investments and private equity. The preferred candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, with a background in finance, real estate, real estate capital markets and/or investor relations and reporting. The candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment and is expected to gain a broad understanding of the firm’s investment vehicles and portfolio management strategies, as well as an understanding of the funds’ and the firm’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reports for both debt and equity real estate investment funds; the content of the reports includes fund activity, investment performance, and market outlook related to commercial mortgage-backed securities, collateralized loan obligations, commercial real estate and other investments
- Analyze data and generate data visualizations of portfolio allocations, special servicing trends, loan maturities, and projected cash distributions
- Complete quarterly investor and consultant information requests, as well as ad hoc investor requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses are provided
- Prepare and manage weekly report covering firm wide capital activity including deal transactions, fund closings, capital calls and distributions
- Collaborate with other departments to understand business needs and implement strategies and automations to improve efficiencies and operational excellence
- Assist in managing the day-to-day Fund/Investment Vehicle operations including, but not limited to liquidity, capital activity, and trade/repo settling for the company’s closed-end and open-ended vehicles
- Track and maintain key asset level, fund level, and investor level data points required by the business to develop actionable insights
Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a focus in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate or Accounting preferred
- Up to (3) years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Hedge Fund, Real Estate or Big 4
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Highly organized, with focus on process discipline and attention to detail
- A working knowledge of investment and security markets, real estate, and credit products
- Ability to understand financial statements and key financial terms in real estate and private equity
- Must be available for weekend and after hours work which includes and is not limited to responding to emails in a timely manner and completing tasks based on directives given from supervisors
- Previous work experience related to real estate or finance is preferred but not required
