Associate – Fund Operations

The Associate of Fund Operations will be responsible for implementing various projects of a complex nature including, but not limited to, retrieving, analyzing, automating, and creating reports and dashboards from Investran to support business operations, as well as day-to-day operational maintenance of Investran. This role will provide an opportunity to work side-by-side with the Operations Controller and the core Investran user-group to obtain in-depth knowledge of the Fund Accounting System, Fund Operations, and Fund Structures. This role will require strong analytical skills combined with a strong accounting background.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with business teams to assist with daily Investran requests;
  • Prepare static data files based on business teams’ requests and/or current projects;
  • Provide support to multiple business teams (Tax, Fund Accounting, IR, Cash Processing) in order to manage existing processes and procedures, as well as help determine future automations, reporting needs, and projects;
  • Prepare DIU templates to help load intermediary fund transactions along with validation reports as supporting schedules;
  • Work with developers (both internal and external) to assist with testing and/or validating either current or future automations;
  • Prepare reconciliation reports in Investran with supporting schedules for any backfill projects;
  • Work with business teams to document and map new report requirements and/or maintaining current SSRS reports;
  • Request to set up new accounts and trans-types in Investran;
  • Prepare Ad Hoc Report Wizard reports.

 

SPECIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology or related; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting with some Information Systems preferred
  • Experience with Investran preferred
  • Highly organized, with focus on process discipline and attention to detail
  • Ability to be flexible and able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Must have a professional demeanor, problem-solving ability, and possess good communication and writing skills
  • Must be available for weekend and after hour work which includes and is not limited to responding to emails in a timely manner and completing tasks based on directives given from supervisors

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop. The Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Evening and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.
