Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist

SUMMARY:

Rialto Capital is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Miami, FL office. In this role, you will be responsible for inputting invoices to facilitate payments to vendors, requesting and recording electronic payments, and supporting special projects as needed, among other responsibilities. The A/P Administrator must be proficient using MS Excel and have some experience using Concur and/or NetSuite accounting systems.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, have a client service attitude, as well as strong organization, communication, and document coordination skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and any source documents received for billing purposes.
  • Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices and confirm that the correct general ledger account codes are used.
  • Correspond with external vendors and internal departments regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data.
  • Ensure transactions comply with financial and company policies and procedures.
  • Manage recurring payments (i.e. Office Leases).
  • Request and record electronic payments (i.e. Wire Transfers, ACH & Credit Card payments).
  • Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies.
  • Assist with the accounts payable month end close process.
  • Ensure signature authority rules are maintained on all invoices.
  • Produce and analyze various accounts payable related reports as requested by management.
  • Review new vendor records entered into the accounts payable system and identify duplicate and inactive vendors.
  • Prepare and complete stop payment/void check requests.
  • Monitor outstanding checks and support the management of the unclaimed property/escheatment process.
  • Support with special projects and/or other job-related functions as assigned by management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting, finance, or related preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting or Billing.
  • Computer proficiency and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Intermediate or above Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Concur and NetSuite accounting systems a plus.
  • Experience with account reconciliation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop. The Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Evening and/or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.
